about

Recorded in 2000, when I was in the habit of making a song every week. The especially astute will notice that a couple of these have already appeared on the collection "It's Hard To Die With The Piney Wood Blues," but I thought it'd be interesting to hear them in their original context.

Everything written, played, and recorded by me, except:

"Morpeth's Rant" is traditional.

"Two Choices?" incorporates and samples the Minutemen song "Times."

"Up And Down The Lake" features a reminiscence from my grandmother Harriett.

"Rolling 11 lb. Song" features lead guitar by Brendan Foster, who also lent me his Fender Tweed Deluxe amp and his Stratocaster for a good chunk of the year.
